Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 6

After her 6th period class, Mouse opened her locker, putting her books inside. She closed the door to see Geoffry leaning against the locker next to her, grinning.
Mouse jumped, "What the hell, Canning?"
"Hello, Mouse." Geoffry said, twirling his finger in his hair. He smiled and said, "How are you?"
Mouse wanted to roll her eyes, but she was above such a gesture. Think of something better, Mousey.
So, she grabbed Geoffry's collar and snapped, "What do you want, dumbass? Whatever it is, I won't do it."
Geoffry studied her face for a few seconds. He said, "Kiss me."
Mouse's face turned red and she let go of Geoffry's shirt. She spat on the ground and said, "Forget it. Never."
"Why not?" Geoffry called, but Mouse was already storming away.
Mouse stopped by the stairwell and leaned against the wall. A boy and girl walked past and Mouse moved out of the way, looking disgusted. But her heart was pounding.
"Hi, Mouse." A voice said.
Mouse turned and saw Tina standing nearby. As Mouse tried to come up with a creative insult, Tina said, "Are you doing alright? You look a little bit shaken."
Mouse glared at her and walked away.
Tina let her go and said to herself, "Hmm. Well, I hope she feels better."

Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 5

During passing time between classes, Geoffry stood with a girl by his locker.
"So, you going to the football game next Friday?" Geoffry asked her, grinning.
The girl smirked back at him and stroked his chest with one finger, "I am now. What time should I meet you."
Geoffry shrugged, "Maybe halfway through the game, like four or something. Behind the bleachers?"
"Sure thing." The girl said, "Can I have a preview?"
Geoffry glanced around the hallway and grinned at the girl. He kissed her on the lips just as the bell rang.
"Excuse me." A voice said from behind Geoffry.
Annoyed, he leaned away from the girl he was kissing and turned around. He knit his eyebrows and said, "Who are you?"
A very short girl with bright purple hair stood behind Geoffry. She was wearing a yellow sweater, green corduroys, and a navy blue sash.
"My name is Tina," She said, "I'm the new hall monitor."
The girl with Geoffry laughed hollowly and said, "You? You're the hall monitor?"
Tina nodded, "Yes. Ms. Nelson gave me the job yesterday. Now, I'm going to have to ask you to go to class."
Geoffry snorted, "Or what? You're going to choke us to death with your little hall monitor sash?"
Tina shook her head, "No, sir. I expect you to respect the school board's orders and go to class. And also, you shouldn't be kissing girls in the hallway."
Geoffry bent down to Tina's height and put his face up to hers, "Have you ever kissed a boy, shorty?"
"Pardon?" Tina said calmly.
"He asked you if you've ever kissed a boy, shrimp!" Geoffry's girl said.
Geoffry held up a hand and said, "Now, now. I can handle this, baby."
He smiled at Tina and continued, "You don't need to cause trouble over this, doll face."
"And I don't intend to," Tina said, "If you get to class."
Geoffry stood up straight and looked offended. He said, "Okay, you're really not charmed at all by me?"
Tina shrugged, "Sorry, Geoffry. My duty is to make sure that the students of this school are focusing on their schoolwork and not on relationships."
Geoffry's girl groaned and said, "Oh my God, fiiine. I'll go to class."
Geoffry turned and looked at her, "But..."
"I'll see you later, Geoffry." The girl said, walking away.
"But..." Geoffry protested, reaching for her as she left down the hall.
Geoffry glared at Tina and pointed a finger at her, "What business do you have messing with me, you little sh-t?"
"I have nothing against you personally, Geoffry." Tina said, clasping her hands behind her back, "My job is to protect the school from profane behavior. This is a formal environment and that kind of behavior isn't acceptable here."
Geoffry scoffed, "Geez, you're like a robot. And plus, there is no way a little kid like you can project this school from sex!"
"I'm a sophomore." Tina said.
"Whatever!" Geoffry barked, "This school is totally full of sexually active kids and it doesn't need purifying."
Tina raised an eyebrow at him and said, "Do you realize what you just said."
Geoffry snorted, bending down to Tina's level again, "Hell yeah, I do. And I mean it, too. This school is full of skanks like Monica Monroe and Rosa Martinez, guys like me who can have whoever we want, and plenty of heartbreakers like..."
Geoffry's voice trailed off. Then, he said, "Well, there are a lot."
He put his face up close to Tina's again and said, "And there is nothing you can do about it."
Tina studied him calmly for a moment, then she took a notepad out of her pocket and wrote something down.
Geoffry tried to look at the notebook without her noticing and Tina said, "I can do that. Go to class, Geoffry."
With that, Tina walked away down the hall.
Geoffry crossed his arms and tried not to feel slightly intimidated.

"Stupid little shrimp, trying to get me in trouble. I won't let her stop me."

Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 4

I came into Study Hall and sat down. Lester cleared his throat loudly behind me and I turned to look at him.
He was sitting with his arm around a girl with short brown hair.
I gave Lester a 'what?' look and he nodded, adjusting his green plastic sunglasses, "This is my girl, Emma."
Emma waved and said, "Hey, I'm Emma."
I nodded and said, "Uh... Okay."
Lester grinned at me and said, "Yeah, I know you're jealous, Angela."
Emma twirled her finger in one of Lester's curls, "Oh, you're so cute."
"I know, babe." Lester said, kissing her.
I looked at the Study Hall teacher, Ms. Potter. She opened one of the drawers on her desk and took out a bottle of Tums. She grimaced and took three. Poor woman.
Chris came into the room and studied Lester and Emma. He sighed and sat down by me.
"So, uh, what's goin' on?" Chris asked.
"Nothing much..." I said, adding conversationally, "Lester got a girlfriend."
Chris glanced at them and said uncomfortably, "I can see that."

As Chris and I left Study Hall, I said to him, "Hey, does it seem like things have been kind of changing around here lately?"
Chris nodded, "Yeah, sort of. Recently, some people have been acting kind of... Casual for school."
I kept my snarky comments about him and Geoffry to myself and I said, "Totally. See? Me being grossed out by that couple doesn't mean I'm a lesbian."
Chris smirked at me. Damn it, why did I have to bring that up again?
I scowled at him and said, "Think what you want, but it's not true. Come on, let's find Leo and Mouse and Alice and get to lunch."
"Alright." Chris said, but I could still hear his brain forming jokes.
Uhg, I don't know what's up with Chris or Lester or Geoffry or anyone else.

Is there something I'm missing?

Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 3

I walked down the hall to my locker and unlocked it.
A boy and a girl stood two lockers away and started talking.
I opened my locker and got my books for fourth hour. When I closed my locker, the boy and girl were making out.
I grimaced and walked away.
Within a few seconds, Chris joined me. He was grinning.
"So, not to into that couple, huh?" He said.
"No..." I said suspiciously, "They were just sucking face right in front of me."
Chris sighed, "Oh, well. Too bad one of them was a boy, huh?"
I studied my brother, then responded, "You can't have every sexually active boy in this school, Chris."
Chris is probably the weirdest virgin I will ever meet. He always goes for the boys who... Well, who have had sex at least once. The weird part is that if the subject comes up, even in conversation, Chris freaks out.
Chris' face turned red and he stuttered, "T-that's not what I was saying, Angie!"
Then he bit his lip and grinned again, trying to keep his cool. He was gonna insult me about something.
"What I was saying was that you probably wouldn't have been so irritated if they had both been girls." Chris snickered.
I sighed, "Chris, that was the worst lesbian joke I have ever heard."
Chris protested, "Well, you're just saying that because it's true!"
"Shut up, Chris." I said flatly.
Chris pouted and I said, "Why do you always call me a lesbian? You're gay. Don't you think that's the tiniest bit hypocritical?"
Chris studied me, lips pursed, and said, "I'm doing a project for science about genetics. I want to know if homosexuality runs in the family."
I snorted, "That is the biggest crap I have ever heard."
"Well, it's true."
"I'm in your science class, Chris." I said, "We weren't assigned any genetics project."
Chris gritted his teeth and said, "You have a crush on Tina."
I stared at him, then I laughed, "Wait, that's why you've been calling me a lesbian? You think I like Tina? I mean, I like her as a friend, but not like that."
That statement was just awkward enough that Chris smirked.
"Oh, of course." He said sarcastically.
I scowled, realizing that I had been defeated. We got to the French room and I said, "Pshh, whatever."
Chris opened the door and we went in, finding seats by Leo, Alice, and Mouse.
"'Morning, guys." Alice said.
"Morning, Alice." Chris said, addressing her, Mouse, and Leo, "Angie totally seems like a lesbian, doesn't she?"
"Chris!" I said, "Enough about that, man."
Leo said slowly, "Enough about what?"
I groaned, "Chris has been teasing me all morning. He says that I like Tina."
There was a silence. Then, Mouse snickered, "Well, do you?"
I gave her a look and said sharply, "No! Well, not like that. I like her, but I don't like like her!"
Mouse said, "Right."
I groaned and Mrs. Green said, "Okay, class! Today, we are going to watch a French music video!"
The class clapped; we like it when she shows videos because then we don't have to work.
"It's a cover of a song called Ella, Elle L'a." Mrs. Green said, turning on the projector, "Can anyone tell me what that means?"
The class was silent, so she said, "It means 'Ella, she's got it.' This song is about Ella Fitzgerald and her marvelous talent. It's by a singer named Kate Ryan."
Mrs. Green turned her scrunched up rat-smile to the class and said, "Right, class?"
She got a few bored mumbles.
Mrs. Green gave a speech about Ella Fitzgerald and how great she was. Then, she showed the music video. It was of a blonde woman in an airplane who was singing and dressed as a flight attendant.
"Woah..." Leo said.
Mrs. Green said, "Look at this. Look at how this Kate Ryan woman just flaunts her little self all over the place."
"Little?" One boy said. The class laughed.
"This song is about Ella Fitzgerald," Mrs. Green explained, "Not about sexuality."

Yeah, the class didn't care about that.

Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 2

"Do you know why you're here, Geoffry?" Ms. Nelson said.
Geoffry shifted in his seat and said, "Um, actually no, I don't."
Ms. Nelson folded her hands on her desk and said, "Are you aware of the student handbook?"
Geoffry raised his eyebrows and said, "I'm sorry?"
"The student handbook, Geoffry." Ms. Nelson said flatly.
Geoffry hesitated and quietly shook his head.
Ms. Nelson sighed, "Okay. You got one at the beginning of the year. It was made of blue paper with Withrow's official school logo on the cover."
"Okay..."
"It lists the school rules." Ms. Nelson said flatly, "The school rules are also listed in your planners."
Geoffry studied her for a long time, then he nodded slightly, like he was starting to understand.
"School rules." Geoffry said.
Ms. Nelson nodded, sighing, "Yes, the school rules. Could you name some of them for me?"
Geoffry bit his lip and said, "Um... You're not supposed to bring guns to school?"
Then he chuckled and added, "Well, of course you're not, Ms. Nelson, but neither are the students."
Ms. Nelson smiled tightly, "Clever. Anything else?"
Geoffry pursed his lips and thought. He shrugged and shook his head, "Don't dress like a hooker?"
"Getting a little closer, there." Ms. Nelson sighed, "There's also one about PDA. Do you know what I'm talking about?"
"No."
"Public display of affection." Ms. Nelson said, "Geoffry, there are rules at this school that you have not been following."
Geoffry snorted, "Public display of affection? Like, kissing?"
"Yes, just like kissing."
Geoffry shook his head and chuckled, "Pardon me, Ms. Nelson, but kids do that all the time."
Ms. Nelson raised her eyebrows and said, "Oh, is that so?"
Geoffry couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not.
"Well, Geoffry, even if kids 'do that all the time', you have done it an unacceptable amount of times in the past month." Ms. Nelson said.
"Month?" Geoffry laughed.
Ms. Nelson gave him a sharp look and he fell silent. Ms. Nelson said sternly, "Geoffry, hugging, kissing, or anything else in that category is prohibited at this school. Heck, in every school in the district."
"What? Why?" Geoffry asked.
"It is not suitable behavior for school." Ms. Nelson said, turning up her palms in a shrug, "School is a place where you should be focused on schoolwork, not on girls."
Then she added, "Or boys."
Geoffry scowled and Ms. Nelson continued, "And the staff's job is to educate you and prepare you for college, not to walk around and break up every couple kissing in the hallway."
Geoffry sighed and Ms. Nelson said, "Are you listening, Mr. Canning?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm listening." Geoffry said quietly, leaning back in his chair.
Ms. Nelson gave him a look and said, "Okay. You can go up to first hour now, but if Ms. Chao catches you or I or anyone else catches you showing public display of affection in this building or on this property again, then you will be punished."
Geoffry nodded and Ms. Nelson said, "You may go to class."
Geoffry stood up and headed for the door.
"And one more thing, Geoffry." Ms. Nelson said.
Sighing softly, Geoffry turned and said, "Yes?"
Ms. Nelson looked serious and said, "From now on, there will be a hall monitor for the second floor hallways."
Geoffry's eyes widened; the second floor was where all of the sophomore classrooms were. Geoffry was a sophomore.
He swallowed audibly and nodded, opening the door out of the office.
"Good day, Geoffry." The principle said half-heartedly, picking up some papers on her desk.
"Good day, Ms. Nelson." Geoffry mumbled.

He was screwed.

Cool With A "K" PART 30 - CHAPTER 1

The hallway buzzed as kids got ready to go to their homeroom classes. Withrow High School was filled with the morning sounds friendly conversation, lockers slamming, and the lesser students' screams as their heads were shoved into toilets. Shriek! Shriek! Gurgle! Flush!
One boy's blue eyes darted to the clock on the wall near the bathrooms. In a minute or two, the chaos would die down.
BRIIIIING!
The bell rang and everyone headed for their homerooms.
Geoffry Canning peered out from a row of lockers, scanning the hallway. Silence.
He slipped over to the girls' bathroom door and knocked a few times. Then, the door opened and a hand appeared, pulling him inside.
Geoffry stood face-to-face with Monica Monroe, who had a fistful of his shirt clenched in her fist.
"Hey," Geoffry said, grinning.
"Hey," Monica said, grinning back, "I see you got my message."
Geoffry chuckled and slid his arms around Monica's waist.
Monica kissed Geoffry, pulling him up to her chest by his shirt.
Just then, the bathroom door opened and someone came in; it was the school coordinator, Ms. Chao.
She stared at Monica and Geoffry. They stopped kissing and looked at the teacher in surprise. Ms. Chao clenched her teeth and said, "Geoffry... Please go see Ms. Nelson in her office."
Geoffry and Monica looked at each other. Geoffry protested, "But, I was just-"
"Now, Mr. Canning." Ms. Chao said sternly.
Geoffry let out a long breath and gave Monica a shrug. She waved subtly and watched Geoffry leave.
After he squeezed past Ms. Chao's irritated glare, Ms. Chao turned her attention to Monica.
"Go to class, honey." She said.
Monica sneered slightly and left the bathroom.
Ms. Chao shook her head and followed Monica down the hallway to her classroom.

"One in 3.3 Million"

Hey, guys!

I just wanted to say that my most recent CWAK section, "One in 3.3 Million", is being cancelled. I couldn't focus on writing anymore and basically lost interest in the whole idea.
Of course, I will keep writing CWAK (Geez, almost two frickin' years! How long can I keep this up?) for all of you ADORING fans!.... Right? ;D
So, there will be more CWAK, but I'm not sure when. I have a few ideas, but they're mostly fillers. I'll work on it A.S.A.P.

If you're still interested in "One in 3.3 Million", you can email me at saranghae.sunshine@yahoo.com and request the four and a half chapters that I wrote. If you want to know what was going to happen beyond that, then too bad. Sorry.

I hope you enjoy my next section!
With love,
